Amazon Web Services (AWS) is debuting a new 10-week accelerator program for startups focused on generative AI, offering the support and resources needed to innovate and scale their projects.
The AWS Generative AI Accelerator is a 10-week global program for 10 Generative AI startups that can demonstrate early-stage traction. The program aims to empower companies utilizing generative AI for solutions in diverse fields from legal and marketing, to software engineering to green energy. The applications of generative AI are vast and it has the potential to revolutionize many industries.
“With so much activity and opportunity today in the world of AI-driven startups, it is a great time for AWS to launch this Generative AI Accelerator,” said Rob Toews, Partner at Radical Ventures.
Which startups can apply? The program is open to all startups around the world. The ideal startups should have a minimum viable product (MVP) already developed and are aiming for seed-stage funding, with plans to raise it in the next 18 months.
Generative AI startup founders within the AWS accelerator cohort will get access to impactful AI models and tools, customized go-to-market strategies, machine learning stack optimization, and more.
Selected startups will get up to $300,000 in AWS credits to build their products and services, business and technical mentorship, and access to networking opportunities within the industry. Applications are open till April 17, 2023.
What is Generative AI?
Generative AI, is a type of artificial intelligence that is capable of generating new and original content after being trained on a massive dataset. It gained popularity in recent months following the launch to the public of OpenAI’s ChatGPT which can hold conversations and generate anything from coding to poetry in response to user prompts. Google followed up with its own AI chatbot Bard.
